About Stan Cooper

Stan Cooper was a retired art teacher who found his passion creating beautiful lino cut artwork in his home studio in Suffolk. That studio became a bedroom whenever our family stayed with him and my grandmother: My brother and I would sleep on mattresses surrounded by art materials and printing equipment.

His work was featured in exhibitions and sold to corporate and individual buyers worldwide.

He died in 2010 and there are still hundreds of his beautiful, limited edition prints, which need a home.

A photo of a photo! Grandpa Stan on a family walk, appreciating the delicate beauty of a wildflower.
A slide of Grandpa taking a photo. He carried his camera whenever he went out, and captured the moments and views that inspired him.
He used an analogue SLR camera to take photos, and then used those images as inspiration for his printmaking. Once finished, he would photograph the print, and kept a file of the slides he made, all carefully catalogued.
My childhood seems to have been filled with family walks… here (l-r) are; my mum, me, grandma, grandpa, Blackie the dog and my brother.
