It’s the end of November already. Thanksgiving for my US friends is tomorrow and Advent starts in a few days… Our birch tree has lost almost all its leaves, and the birds have eaten the holly berries. The winter jasmine, with its delicate yellow flowers, is in full bloom and our squirrel visitors are busy foraging for food and burying it.
This morning we woke to a beautiful, frosty scene in the garden, and I saw 7 different types of bird visiting our pond; we had the daily visitors – blackbird, robin and blue tit, but also a great tit and several long-tailed tits, which we see less often, and then I was delighted to see a blackcap and two goldcrests, which are very rare visitors.
Our garden is a source of much joy for me – from our kitchen and dining room I get to see the seasons change and watch the birds flit about between the trees and the pond. In the summer it’s quite common to find me outside, enjoying a cup of tea while listening to the birdsong.
I’m delighted to say that our Etsy shop – https://stancooperprints.etsy.com – has had 21 sales so far, and we’ve sent prints and greetings cards all over the UK, and also to the USA and even Australia!
